FireSlip – DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last Updated: January 2026
FireSlip respects copyright law and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We operate under the DMCA Safe Harbor provisions, which require us to respond promptly to legitimate takedown notices and maintain a repeat-infringer policy.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on FireSlip, please submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent:
Email: info@fireslip.com
Subject line: "DMCA Takedown Notice"
Content ID & Automatic Muting
FireSlip may implement automated audio fingerprinting on Video-on-Demand (VOD) content to identify and mute copyrighted music segments. This system helps us comply with copyright law while preserving creator content. Muted VODs remain accessible but with audio sections replaced or reduced.
Three-Strike Policy
To maintain our DMCA Safe Harbor status and protect our platform, we enforce a three-strike policy:
- First Strike: Warning and account flag
- Second Strike: 7-day account suspension
- Third Strike: Permanent account termination
Strikes reset after 12 months of compliance. Severe violations (repeated intentional infringement) may result in immediate permanent ban.
VOD Storage & Removal
VODs are retained indefinitely unless removed by the creator or our moderation team. Creators can delete their VODs at any time from their dashboard. We reserve the right to hide or mute VOD content that contains copyrighted material to comply with copyright law.
Streaming Copyrighted Content
FireSlip does not provide blanket music licensing agreements like Mixcloud or major platforms. Creators are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate rights or licenses for all content they stream, including:
- Copyrighted music (DJ sets, background music)
- Copyrighted game soundtracks and licensed music in games
- PPV sports broadcasts and proprietary game content
- Other third-party intellectual property
Counter-Notice
If you believe your content was removed or muted in error, you may submit a counter-notification. Counter-notices must include your full legal name, address, phone number, and a statement under penalty of perjury explaining why the content should not have been removed. Send to the same email above.
What Happens When We Receive a Takedown Notice
- We receive and review the DMCA complaint
- We identify the specific user account and content
- We remove or disable access to the infringing content immediately
- We log the strike against the user's account
- We notify the user of the action taken
Music-Safe Mode
Creators concerned about copyright issues can enable "Music-Safe Mode" in their dashboard settings. When enabled, VOD storage is automatically disabled, allowing creators to broadcast live content without leaving a permanent record for automated copyright detection systems.
